Several stables in the area offer horseback riding.

The zip lines are open Thursday through Tuesday, from 10am to 4pm. Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is an organization that provides lifetime refuge for abandoned, abused, and neglected “big cats”. The refuge mainly specializes in tigers, but there are also lions, leopards, cougars, bobcats, black bears, ligers, servals, a monkey, a coatimundi and a grizzly bear. Turpentine Creek is open daily from 9am-6pm.

Special events and activities are planned around town to enjoy the blog6warm days of spring. Everyone feeling Irish can join in the 22nd Annual St. Paddy’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 12th. Festivities kick off at 2 p.m. as the parade rolls down Spring Street from the Carnegie Library to the courthouse on Main Street. Eureka Springs Into Music is a new classical music festival happening March 15th-18th with special performances at Thorncrown Chapel and The Auditorium by the Grammy nominated Eroica Trio. Runners and walkers will participate in the 34th Annual Victorian Classic on Saturday, March 21st.

kitesTurpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge hosts it’s 26th annual Kite Festival celebration March 26. “Art With an Altitude,” sponsored by KaleidoKites of Eureka Springs, is a free family event inviting attendees to bring their own kites or buy one at the refuge. The celebration includes vendors, contests and fun activities for parents and children.
