Eureka Springs Independence Day Celebrations
Eureka Springs has several 4th of July events to celebrate Independence Day–and our birthday!
The Eureka Springs Historical Museum presents the 2nd Annual 4th of July Birthday Stroll on Saturday, July 1st, and Sunday, July 2nd. Read more about it here.
Come out to Lake Leatherwood Park on Sunday, July 2nd and spend the day swimming, paddling, hiking or just relaxing in the park then enjoy fireworks beginning about 9:30 pm. There will be booths set up selling concessions and baked goods.
Beginning at 5 pm, free shuttles will be running from the Planer Hill parking lot, the transit office (137 W. Van Buren) or Pine Mountain Village parking lot (2075 W. Van Buren) to Lake Leatherwood to make your day even more relaxing and convenient. Shuttles stop at 11 pm. You may also park at Lake Leatherwood, for $5 per vehicle.
Our annual 4th of July Parade will be held on Tuesday the 4th at 10 a.m. The theme this year is Celebrating Our Freedoms and Defending Our Liberties.
All are welcome to come join the parade. Make a float, drive your car or truck, walk by yourself, with a group or with your family or friends.
Other events on parade day this year include an apple pie contest, best-dressed dog contest, and watermelon seed spitting contest, all in the parking lot between The Auditorium and the courthouse after the parade. For more information on these events, please visit their Facebook page.
